Fractal Building is a sustainable residential building company focused on creating homes that work in harmony with nature. We design and build spaces that are calm, comfortable, efficient and healthy to live in, using intelligent design, high-performance building envelopes and natural materials wherever possible.
Our approach is inspired by the way natural systems work – simple, efficient and beautifully balanced. Just as fractals in nature create strength and complexity from simple patterns, we believe great homes are created by getting the fundamentals right: orientation, airflow, sunlight, materials and construction quality.

Natural, Healthy Homes
We specialise in building systems that support healthy indoor environments. This includes the use of materials such as hempcrete, clay plasters, natural insulation and low-tox finishes that regulate temperature and humidity while improving air quality.
These materials pair perfectly with passive solar design, allowing homes to naturally stay cooler in summer, warmer in winter, and more stable all year round.

Fractal Building offers a true Design & Build service, bringing sustainable design and quality construction together under one team. By controlling the process from concept to completion, we ensure sustainability is embedded from the very beginning, not retrofitted later.

About Kyle
Fractal Building is led by Kyle Naeff, a licensed builder with over 20 years’ experience in residential construction, renovations and contract administration. With formal training in hempcrete construction and a strong background in building standards and quality control, Kyle combines technical expertise with a genuine passion for sustainable and natural building practices.
After years in conventional construction, his focus shifted toward creating healthier, more intelligent and more environmentally responsible homes. Fractal Building was born from that desire to build differently – with intention, care and respect for both people and place.
Where We Work
Based on the Mid North Coast NSW, we service Coffs Harbour and its Northern Beaches. Our work is shaped by the coastal climate, the natural landscape and the relaxed, quality-driven lifestyle that defines this area.
